Age range 14-16 years

This set of five lesson plans includes fun activities that explore everything from how Japanese music inspired the music of Benjamin Britten to how mnemonics are used as an aid to learning complex rhythms and drum strokes.

>	Steve Reich (60 mins) (60KB pdf) Exploring how contemporary American music challenges our assumptions about Western music, and comparing the work of Steve Reich with the music of African and Balinese cultures.
