Welsh Language Resources
O Fanana i Fan Yna! (Go Bananas!)
Go Bananas! provides information about the journey of a banana from the Caribbean to the UK. It gives a detailed example of how food grown overseas passes through many hands, stages and processes from planting to eating. For use with 5–11 year olds. |
Oxfam has just released a Welsh–language version of the pupils' worksheets from our popular resource exploring trade issues through the journey of a banana.
Produced in association with ACCAC, the Welsh Qualifications and Curriculum Agency,
the booklet needs to be used alongside the
English version of the resource.
O Fanana i Fan Yna! is available FREE to schools in Wales. Please contact our Development Education Team in Wales for your copy.
NB. You will need a copy of the English-language version of this resource in order to use the supplementary Welsh materials, since the activity instructions, photocards, and background information are not in the Welsh booklets. These and many other resources are available from the Oxfam Catalogue for Schools 2007.
