Welsh Language Resources

We have a number of resources available in Welsh. Our most recent titles are Go Bananas, Your World, My World, Dealing with Disasters and Developing Rights.

  • Our latest titles: Go Bananas (Primary), Your World, My World (Primary), Dealing with Disasters (Secondary), and Developing Rights (Secondary) have just been released in Welsh.

  • Tsunami in Asia brings together educational materials from Cool Planet, and information from the main Oxfam website and external sites, to enable teaching around the current humanitarian crisis in Asia.

  • New Year's resolutions with a difference! - colourful stimulus slides are included in this activity to help your class make New Year's resolutions with a difference. Can be adapted for any age group.

  • Looking Behind the Logo - a role-play activity to help young people learn about the unfair deal given to the workers in developing countries who make sportswear (for 13-17 year olds).

  • Cairo: Four children and their city. This primary video pack is available in Welsh – to obtain a copy please contact the Development Education Team in our Cardiff office.

  • Iraq: War and Peace. This resource has been produced by Oxfam to help teachers unravel the mass of information on Iraq for their pupils aged 8 to 16. Welsh versions of a number of its pages are included.

  • Making a Difference – a bilingual Education for Sustainable Development resource, for primary. Explores electricity, water, recycling and fair trade, making local to global connections. Free to all schools in Wales (contact the Development Education Team in our Cardiff office for your copy).

  • Her Globaleiddio, a Welsh translation of The Challenge of Globalisation – – for teachers of 11-16 year olds, exploring the economic, geographical, moral and ethical issues surrounding globalisation, is available through our online catalogue. Includes background information, case studies, worksheets and a simulation game.

  • Get Global! - a guide for teachers of 11-16 year olds on how to facilitate and assess active global citizenship. Downloadable Welsh language version available.
