Fund unity and peace
In a world that feels more divided every day, this Christmas is the perfect time to start a monthly gift to Oxfam. You’ll receive a FREE felt decoration, handmade in Nepal by fair trade organisation Hatale. And you'll be funding the people and projects building a fairer, more peaceful world.
Nothing good comes from division and war
But in every conflict we see the same thing: millions of people helping to rebuild peace with compassion, understanding and support for each other.
That includes people like you. Because when you choose to fund unity, not division - you're backing the people worst affected by conflict to rebuild their lives and communities.

Keeping peace alive in the DRC
Marie Nsimire is a farmer and businesswoman. She lives in Lurhala, South Kivu, in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This is a nation rich in minerals and natural resources yet subject to exploitation and decades of conflict – devastating a once vibrant country.

Community peacebuilding
Marie's involved in a community peacebuilding project which aims to improve the lives of women and girls. Because we know that when you uplift women, you help everyone rise.
By partnering with APDIK and with monthly gifts from supporters like you, we’ve been able to fund innovative community-led projects that benefit the people of South Kivu. Like this pig-keeping scheme which helps provide a steady income for farmers.

I was just a small businesswoman selling flour to feed my kids with a little profit. Now, I’ve taught ten other women my business. I started with just 10,000 FC, but now I have 250,000 FC saved for family needs or to invest further.”
